Foot and Wound Care-
Diabetic foot assessments & risk screening
Nail trimming & reduction (thick, fungal, ingrown within RN scope)
Corn & callus care (non-surgical)
Skin care for dryness, cracking, and pressure areas
Circulation checks & sensation testing
Education on footwear, hygiene, and prevention
Note: RNs do not perform surgical nail removal or debridement into living tissue. Those require podiatry or physician care.
Private Duty Nursing- is personalized, one-on-one nursing care provided by a Registered Nurse (RN) directly to a client in their home, assisted living facility, group home, or other residential setting. Unlike home health agencies, PDN is private-pay, highly customized, and focused on continuity, comfort, and clinical oversight.
